The exhibition features artists from different generations who have shaped PNC GALLERY: Hoon Kwak, Lee Myungmi, Kwon O-bong, Kim Yong Soo, Hyung-Geun Park, Jisun Shin, and Jisu Jang. Working across a wide range of media and artistic languages, these artists collectively represent both the historical depth and the contemporary vitality of Korean contemporary art.
재개관전 《2026.07.21.》은 피앤씨갤러리의 프로그램을 구성해 온 여러 세대의 작가들을 한자리에 소개한다. 참여작가는 곽훈, 이명미, 권오봉, 김용수, 박형근, 신지선, 장지수로, 각기 다른 매체와 조형 언어를 통해 한국 현대미술의 역사적 층위와 동시대적 감각을 보여준다.

Hoon Kwak has developed a distinctive language of abstraction grounded in ritualistic imagination and reflections on the history of civilization, establishing a singular position within Korean contemporary painting. Lee Myungmi, a leading figure of Experimental Art in Korea, has continuously explored the possibilities of painting through color, forms and composition. Kwon O-bong creates works driven by powerful gestures and an unmistakable pictorial energy. Kim Yong Soo presents another important current in Korean abstract painting through rhythmic compositions, color, and repetitive structures. Through photography, Hyung-Geun Park investigates the layered relationships between place, memory, and landscape. Jisun Shin works with video and new media to explore narrative structures and the realm of imagination. Jisu Jang approaches questions of pictorial space, the body, and the gaze through a distinctly contemporary visual language.
곽훈은 제의적 상상력과 문명사적 사유를 바탕으로 한국 현대회화에서 독자적인 추상의 세계를 전개해 온 작가다. 이명미는 한국 실험미술 세대의 주요 작가로, 색채와 기호, 놀이와 구조의 언어를 통해 회화의 가능성을 탐구해 왔다. 권오봉은 강렬한 신체성과 제스처를 바탕으로 독자적인 회화적 에너지를 구축해 왔으며, 김용수는 리듬과 색면, 반복적 구조를 통해 한국 추상회화의 또 다른 흐름을 보여준다. 박형근은 사진을 통해 장소와 기억, 풍경의 층위를 탐구하고, 신지선은 영상과 미디어를 통해 서사와 상상의 구조를 다룬다. 장지수는 회화적 공간과 신체, 시선의 문제를 동시대적 감각으로 풀어내는 작가다.

PNC Gallery opened in 2012 in Daegu, a city where the Korean avant-garde movement flourished in the 1970s and 1980s.

PNC GALLERY is pleased to present its reopening exhibition, 《2026.07.21.》, at its new space in Samcheong-dong, Seoul. Founded in Daegu in 2012, PNC GALLERY has dedicated itself to researching and leading figures in Korean contemporary art. Marking a new chapter in the gallery's history, the exhibition brings together works by artists who have been central to its program, reflecting both its history and its vision for the future. The exhibition title, 《2026.07.21.》, is simply the date on which the gallery reopens in its new Samcheong location. Functioning as both a specific date and a symbolic point of departure, it invites visitors to reflect on the gallery's journey while looking ahead to its next chapter.
피앤씨갤러리는 오는 2026년 7월 21일, 서울 삼청동 새 공간에서 재개관전 《2026.07.21.》을 개최한다. 이번 전시는 2012년 대구에서 출발해 한국 현대미술의 주요 작가들을 연구하고 소개해 온 피앤씨갤러리의 새로운 장을 알리는 자리로, 갤러리와 함께해 온 작가들의 작품을 통해 지난 활동의 흐름과 앞으로의 방향성을 함께 보여준다. 전시 제목 《2026.07.21.》은 피앤씨갤러리가 삼청동 새 공간에서 다시 문을 여는 날짜를 그대로 담고 있다. 하나의 날짜이자 새로운 출발점으로서, 이번 전시는 피앤씨갤러리가 지나온 시간과 앞으로 전개해 나갈 방향을 함께 되새기고자 한다.
